Today, the State Taxation Administration updated and released 90 copies of the "Tax Guides for Investment in Different Countries (Regions)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Tax Guides"), updating the tax system information for 85 countries (regions) such as the United States, Canada, and France, where significant tax system changes have occurred in recent years, and adding tax guides for five new countries: Portugal, Chile, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, and Colombia. With this update, the total number of "Tax Guides" has increased to 115, essentially covering the major destinations for Chinese enterprises going global.
It is reported that to facilitate "going global" enterprises in understanding the tax policies of host countries, the State Taxation Administration has also launched products such as "Global Tax News" under the brand of "Tax Service Facilitation", providing monthly dynamic updates on tax-related information of relevant countries (regions).
A relevant person in charge from the International Taxation Department of the State Taxation Administration stated that current global tax rules are undergoing profound and comprehensive continuous transformations, imposing higher requirements on the tax compliance levels of multinational enterprises. Products such as the Tax Guide and Global Tax News focus on the needs of "going global" enterprises, helping them stay informed of the investment environment and tax systems in host countries in a timely manner, enabling them to fully enjoy the benefits of tax treaties between countries, and effectively avoid tax risks, which have been widely recognized by cross-border investors.
The new edition of the Tax Guide has been released on the "Tax Route Connect · Tax Services for the 'Belt and Road'" column on the official website of the State Taxation Administration. Taxpayers can log in to inquire and learn about other international tax knowledge products under the "Tax Route Connect" brand at the same time.
