The central bank has released a one-time credit repair policy!

Today, the People's Bank of China issued a notice to implement a one-time credit repair policy, supporting individuals who have suffered credit damage but actively repay to efficiently and conveniently rebuild their credit.

For personal overdue information with a single amount not exceeding RMB 10000 between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2025, if the individual fully repays the overdue debt before March 31, 2026 (inclusive), the financial credit information basic database will not display it. among which

(1) Individuals who fully repay overdue debts before November 30, 2025 (inclusive) will not display relevant overdue information in the financial credit information database from January 1, 2026 onwards;

(2) If an individual fully repays overdue debts between December 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026, the financial credit information database will not display relevant overdue information until the end of the following month.

The one-time credit repair policy does not differentiate between financial institutions and business types, nor does it limit the number of transactions. At the same time, the policy implements "no application, enjoy", and individuals do not need to apply or operate, nor do they need to submit proof materials. The credit system of the People's Bank of China automatically identifies and uniformly processes overdue information that meets the conditions.

How can individuals confirm whether their overdue information has been adjusted?

The credit reporting system will automatically identify and process overdue information that meets the conditions, without the need for public application and confirmation operations. If an individual needs to know whether the relevant overdue information is no longer displayed, they can obtain their credit report through multiple channels. It is recommended to choose a fast and convenient online method for inquiry, or choose an offline method for inquiry.

Online query channels include mobile banking apps of financial institutions, online banking, UnionPay Cloud QuickPass app, and the official website of the Credit Reporting Center of the People's Bank of China( https://www.pbccrc.org.cn )"Internet personal credit information service platform", etc.

Offline query channels include self-service credit inquiry machines, smart teller machines of financial institutions, and credit service windows of various branches of the People's Bank of China.
